Charlie joined Chambers as a tenant in 2021, having completed his pupillage under the supervision of Sally Daulton. The focus of Charlie’s practice is primarily in all areas of Family Law, including private children, public children and matrimonial finances.
Charlie also accepts instructions in mental health law including in the Court of Protection, having practised in mental health law as a Supervisor at a national firm of mental health solicitors for a number of years before coming to the Bar.
Charlie accepts instructions in private children, public children, and matrimonial finances. He has experience representing parents, local authorities, children, and other interested parties, including the Police and family members such as grandparents and step-parents.
Charlie has experience representing parties at all stages of proceedings, including appeals. Charlie’s background in mental health law means that he is well-equipped to sensitively manage vulnerable clients with complex and additional needs.
Charlie is capable of representing clients at complex finding of fact hearings. He is assisted in this regard by his previous experience of jury trials in the Crown Court.
Drawing on his experience in the area, Charlie accepts instructions in mental health law. He prides himself on his client care, and his ability to support clients who suffer from mental disorder and other vulnerabilities.
Charlie is also available for instructions in Court of Protection cases, and has experience representing protected parties (through the Official Solicitor and other litigation friends), family members, and local authorities.
