Holly's common law pupillage was supervised by Emily Cook, with a focus on crime. She was called to the bar in 2019 having obtained an "Outstanding" grade in the BPTC at City, University of London. During the BPTC Holly studied financial crime and POCA.

Gray's Inn awarded Holly the Lord Justice Holker Scholarship, and made her an Ann Goddard Pupillage Scholar. Holly also received a Postgraduate Scholarship from Cardiff University.

Prior to the law, Holly worked closely with vulnerable and disabled individuals as a support worker, and she is now learning British Sign Language.

Whilst studying the Graduate Diploma in Law, Holly worked as a paralegal at NewLaw Solicitors, and then Slater and Gordon Lawyers, where she handled her own caseload of personal injury claims. In her spare time, Holly volunteered for the Personal Support Unit at Cardiff Court, supporting litigants in person through a variety of family and civil proceedings.
