Holly's common law pupillage was supervised by Emily Cook, with a focus on crime. She was called to the bar in 2019 having obtained an "Outstanding" grade in the BPTC at City, University of London. During the BPTC Holly studied financial crime and POCA.

Holly's criminal practice has developed from the Magistrates' Court to the Crown Court, both defending and prosecuting cases. Having a background of working with people with mental health difficulties and a variety of other disabilities, Holly is particularly experienced at working with vulnerable individuals.

Gray's Inn awarded Holly the Lord Justice Holker Scholarship, and made her an Ann Goddard Pupillage Scholar. Holly also received a Postgraduate Scholarship from Cardiff University.

Prior to the law, Holly worked closely with vulnerable and disabled individuals as a support worker, and she is now learning British Sign Language.

As well as acting as the Devon and Cornwall representative for the Western Circuit, Holly volunteers as a mentor for the Bridging the Bar initiative.
