Charlie joined Chambers as a pupil in October 2020, under the supervision of Sally Daulton. He has undertaken a common law pupillage, with a focus on family law and crime. Before coming to the Bar, Charlie was a supervisor in a national firm of solicitors, working in mental health law. He regularly appeared in the first-tier tribunal on behalf of patients subject to the Mental Health Act. He appeared for patients detained under a variety of provisions, and the focus of his practice was on complex cases concerning patients in forensic services.
Charlie is available for instructions in all areas of family law, including private law child proceedings, public law child proceedings and matrimonial finance. He is able to represent clients in hearings at all stages of proceedings.
Drawing on his experience in the area, Charlie is accepting instructions in the Mental Health Tribunal. He prides himself on his client care, and his ability to support clients who suffer from mental disorder and other vulnerabilities.
