Jo Martin and Julia Cox prosecute in £1.3 million money laundering case

Jo Martin and Julia Cox recently prosecuted six defendants at Harrow Crown Court for money laundering as part of a nationwide investigation into phishing fraud, which originated in Devon and Cornwall in 2013. The overall value of the frauds was in the region of £3million. The case involved at least £1.3million being laundered through the defendants' bank accounts and through Post Offices where two of the defendants worked and where they converted over £1million of stolen money in to untraceable foreigh currency. The 6 defendants entered guilty pleas on day 4 of the trial after the case had been fully opened to the jury. Sentence pending on the 30th November.
