Pupillage 2019

Devon Chambers invites applications for a 12-month pupillage commencing in October 2019.

Pupillage with Devon Chambers covers all areas of Common Law, but with a focus on Criminal and Family Law.

All applicants will be expected to have achieved an Upper Second Class degree and have achieved or are expected to achieve a Very Competent grade for the Bar Professional Training Course.

Award

The pupillage award will be £16,000, comprising of £8,000 in the first six months of pupillage and guaranteed earnings of £8,000 in the second six months of pupillage.

Timetable

The deadline for receipt of applications is 4pm on Friday 9th November 2018. Applications received after the deadline will not be accepted.

The first round interviews are expected to take place on Saturday 8th December 2018.

The second round interviews are expected to take place on Saturday 5th January 2019.

Deferred Pupillages

Devon Chambers will consider applications for a deferred pupillage to commence in October 2020. Please make it clear on your application that you are applying for a deferred pupillage and why.
